Project: Aeres Hogeschool
Location: Almere, The Netherlands

For the Aeres University of Applied Sciences (Food, Nature & Urban Green) we were tasked with creating an energy-neutral, climate-adaptive, and circular building.

We provided PV solar panels on the west side to deliver sun protection in addition to generating energy. In addition to the solar panels on the façade, we created a shade roof of semi-transparent PV panels to protect students from the sun and reduces the heating of the school.

The total installed power for the roof is 88,400 Wp, distributed over 400 active PowerGlaz solar panels. The expected annual yield is approximately 78,000 kWh

The total installed capacity for the façade is 68,280 Wp, distributed over 312 active PowerGlaz solar panels. The expected annual yield is approximately 42,500 kWh

As a result, we were able to assist the school in creating a self-sufficient energy solution.
