Commissioned by Fugro, the new headquarters in Nootdorp is a future-proof and highly sustainable office building. Constructed by De Vries en Verburg and designed by cepezed, the project called for a fully integrated solar solution across the façades and roof, enabling on-site energy generation without compromising the building’s architectural vision.
We supplied and integrated 428 m² of solar panels across the façades, office roof, parking garage and rooftop technical structure. By incorporating #PixaSolar as a seamless architectural element, the PV system became part of the building envelope, delivering full on-site energy generation while maintaining a refined and cohesive design.
The integrated solar solution enables the headquarters to generate all of its energy on site, making sustainability both visible and measurable. This contribution played an essential role in achieving the BREEAM-NL Outstanding certification (93.44%) and the People’s Choice Award at the BREEAM Awards, establishing the project as a benchmark for sustainable corporate architecture.
