Floating Gardens, Amsterdam

Project: Floating Gardens
Location: Amsterdam

Floating Gardens is a sustainable residential tower in Amsterdam with 161 rental apartments. For this project, Hermans Technisolar was asked to create a sustainable solution for generating solar energy on part of the facade and roof, without compromising the building’s appearance.

As part of this sustainable solution, we supplied 52 white-coloured solar panels, which together generate about 5,718 W/p. These panels generate solar energy while preserving the aesthetic appearance of the building.

Thanks to our solution, both the architect and our client were able to maintain the modern and innovative look of the building while integrating a solar energy solution. Our system was seamlessly incorporated into the facade, ensuring the visual appeal of the building remained intact.
