We were tasked with helping our client and Canon create a flexible, sustainable building solution for the future. It was imperative to our client to keep the aesthetics of the buildings looking modern and innovative whilst incorporating solar energy.
The roof was utilised for the installation of solar panels for energy generation – even the glass atrium roof contains solar cells.
Over 100 PowerGlaz solar panels are integrated in the roof of the building which are expected to annual yield approximately 21,800 kWh.
As a result, the building received a BREAAM sustainability label that obtained the design certificate Excellent.
Energy consumption is low due to the use of solar control facades with insulating triple glazing, energy-efficient LED lighting and high levels of daylighting.
