Sustainability was a top priority when constructing the university college in Rotterdam. Hermans Technisolar has ensured that making optimal use of the roof is achieved by using our Powerglaz panels to generate the solar energy.
Hermans Technisolar has supplied 88 insulated Powerglaz panels that are tailor-made for this specific project. The panels are integrated into the roof and, in addition to generating energy, also contribute to insulating the building.
The integration of the 88 Powerglaz panels has resulted in a total installed power of 31,504 Wp, and the panels contribute to the insulation of the building through a U-value of 1.0w/m²k.
The solar cells also create shade, meaning less sunlight enters the building on hot days and less heat is generated.
